Movie Review : Runway Beat

      Runway Beat is a Japanese film that released on 19 March 2011 with a duration of 126 minutes. This film is based on Japanese cellphone novel of the same name by Maha Harada and directed by Kentano Otani. This film stars actor Koji Seto and actresses Nanami Sakuraba and Mirei Kiritani. Runway Beat revolves around the theme of fashion, and it tells the story of five teenagers who organized a fashion show.
      Biito Mizorogi or better known as Beat moves to Tokyo to meet his childhood friends who is sick. The school festival will soon take a place when he enteres the school for the first day. His class will hold a fashion show. That because Miki,one of the member of the class, is a famous model. But Miki dislike all the design that all her friends made and threaten them to cancel that fashion show. And then Beat volunteer his self to take over the task of designing clothes for the fashion show. And then Beat, wo love designing and making clothes, began to struggle along with his new friends to organized the last fashion show for them.
      Beat ability, as the main character, ii designing clothes was totally amazing. For fashion lovers, this movie could make them interest and exited during watching it. And clothes that displayed during a fashion show in this movie is very cool. The character changing of one of the character when the fashion show took place in this movie, from shy to be more daring display of her self is one of my favorite moments. And according to me on this movie, we are told that if we feel confident we can be anything and do anyting we want.
      Although this movie's genre is fashion and romance, but I can't feel the romance story that present in this movie. The story of friendship in this movie is good. But the way of telling the story is lacking smooth. I don't know if that's because of the actor and actress lascking skil or it's because this movie has short duration. So tht the story can't explain perfectly to unseal each character in this movie.
      But to sum up, apart from its weakness, this film has effort to watch
